چکیده
We demonstrate that the aperture mass as a measure for cosmic shear closely approximates (to better than ≈ 5%) the scaled and shifted power spectrum of the projected mass density. This cosmological weak-lensing information can thus be used to directly infer the projected matter power spectrum with high accuracy. As an application, we show that aperture-mass observations can be used to constrain the cosmic density parameter and the power-spectrum amplitude. We show that, for a particular example, it should be possible to constrain Ω 0 to within ≈ ±27%, and σ 8 to within ≈ ±8% using weak-shear data on a square-shaped field of 8 • side length.

The properties of the Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation angular autocorrelation function in Friedman Universe with negative curvature (k = −1) are studied. The dependence of the spectral index of autocorrelation function on the density parameter of the Universe is studied numerically, taking into account the effect of geodesic mixing, occuring in k = −1 curvature Universes.

In this review, we intend to present the current knowledge of the polarized emission from thermal dust in our Galaxy. We show different methods to estimate the spatial distribution statistics of this emission in the lack of any data from the diffuse ISM, and compare it to the expected CMB polarized signal. We finally show how this contaminant could be efficiently removed from CMB maps using mul...

We discuss recent models in which neutrinos, which are assumed to have mass in the eV range, originate the highest energy cosmic rays by interaction with the enhanced density in the galactic halo of the relic cosmic neutrino background. We make an analytical calculation of the required neutrino fluxes

Synchrotron emission is an important process in Galactic dynamics and a potentially confusing foreground for cosmic microwave background (CMB) radiation observations. Though the mechanism of synchrotron emission is well understood, the details for the Galaxy and many external sources is not well characterized. Quality maps at multiple frequencies are lacking but needed for a full understanding ...
